Falling into the Holidays 🦃
With fall in full swing, I was eager to host another themed dinner party to bring some of my fave people together. Pizza and pasta seemed like the perfect cozy combo, so I hosted an intimate pizza-making and pasta night in my sunroom. This can serve as the perfect inspiration as Thanksgiving rolls around if you need any ideas for table setting and decor!
Here’s the full breakdown of the food, decor, and fun from my latest hosting adventure:

1. Theme:
I wanted to do an interactive dinner party this time around to liven things up. Pizza-making seemed like the perfect activity since who doesn’t love customizing their perfect pie! I decided to pair it with a pasta salad for some extra carbs and comfort.
2. Decor & Vibe:
To set the fall mood, I set yellow string lights across the tables-cape, and added touches of seasonal decor with dried leaves, twigs, candles, fall-themed napkins and mini pumpkins. I found some cute fall signs and vases from my local dollar store that I hung by the window or placed on the seating bench to make it a perfect little nook for my friends and I to sit around. I kept the lighting dim for a cozy, fall night effect.
We sat around my dining room table enjoying the hot pans of pizza, bowls of pasta, while sipping on some sparking cider as we chatted the night away.
3. The Menu:
For the pizza, I made dough and set up a topping bar with marinara sauce, cheeses, pepperoni, veggies, and anything else guests wanted to add. Everyone assembled their own mini personal pizzas and I baked them in batches in the oven.
For the pasta, I served up a simple pasta salad — bow-tie pasta, grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, oregano, salt and pepper, with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and topped it with some fresh parmesan cheese.
For dessert, I whipped up a small batch of fudge brownies using this recipe: https://thecookiedoughdiaries.com/small-batch-brownies/. I also added some candles to them to celebrate a special birthday.
